“I have played music professionally, owned my own business, worked as an electrician, worked retail, worked in fast food, and most recently I was a stay-at-home dad. In other words, I am not a politician. I have no interest in making connections, mingling with the “right” people, bolstering my resume, or profiting off the ill-gotten gains of the government. My goal is simple. I want to make Nevada a freer state.”

We’re Fighting For Property Rights, Bodily Autonomy, and Free Markets

Bodily Autonomy

What I have observed over the past two years has removed any doubt that our government has gone off the rails. Thousands of citizens were told that their businesses were “non-essential”. Citizens were locked in their homes and had to seek permission from state officials to visit their friends and families. Our children lost two years of their life to the whims of the government. Independent of the disastrous covid response we live in a state where thousands of individuals have their lives destroyed over the prosecution of victimless crimes. Our state officials need a reminder that they are not the mini dictators that they believe themselves to be. I represent a return to morality. A foundational principle of a free society is bodily autonomy. You own your body and are free to do with it what you’d like so long as you don’t infringe on the rights of others.

To call our public education system a failure would be an understatement of epic proportions. Nevada ranks as one of the worst in the country in every relevant educational metric. The answer to this is not more funding for public schools. There is absolutely no statistical correlation between school funding and academic success. The problem is…well, public education. Like any other good or service, I trust the market to provide education in a way that is more efficient, more effective, and more humane than any state funded institution could hope to provide. If we don’t trust the government to be the sole producers of our food or clothing, they should be the last people we trust to educate our children. I plan to advocate for a substantial expansion of private schooling, homeschooling, and the retention of tax dollars for parents who choose to keep their children from being victims of a public education.

Criminal Justice

The police are the enforcement arm of the state. They do not work for you. They do not work for me. They work for the state. Like any other state department, they have become bloated and intoxicated with their own power. The police need to be reigned in. The abolition of civil asset forfeiture, qualified immunity, and no-knock warrants is a non-negotiable position that I hold. This country incarcerates more of its citizens than any other country on earth. Most of these incarcerations are the result of the prosecution of the disastrous war on drugs. The state cannot be reigned in without first shrinking the size of its enforcement wing.

Free Markets

Nothing creates prosperity like the free and voluntary exchange of goods and services. A prosperous society becomes crippled when individuals need to be wealthy in order to start a business. I will advocate for any and every opportunity to eliminate, not reduce, but eliminate the crushing tax burden and regulations that make it so difficult for everyday citizens to become entrepreneurs.
